Somehow I've misplaced the CD with the photos of the bathroom when we purchased the house (wallpaper, and all)... so you'll just have to use your imagination.

The lighting in here makes this look sort of golden in the photos -- or maybe it's my computer settings. After seeing the window again, I definitely think a row of plants -- a variety of heights and leaf shapes, and maybe a bit of a trailing vine of some kind -- would look good and add some softness and life to the rectangular shape. (If you want it tropical, get some fake orchids and some greenery.) Just sort of see what looks good in the space, but I'm thinking rather large and dominant rather than small and lacy.) And a big poster-size print repeating the foliage (and with a tad of bright color) on the blank wall there. A poster-size print at Kinko's etc. and a decent poster frame shouldn't cost much. Or I sometimes get a coupon from Staples etc. for half price. (What color frame??? Maybe paint it dark green like the marble?)
