Our house - now in green!

Eric has all sides painted except for the kitchen window and the back of the house - that should be finished this weekend. Then we'll start on what promises to be the never-ending job of painting the trim. That will take FOREVER But I'm pleased with the color. Do you think we ought to leave the bottom white or paint it a neutral tan sort of color? I think vote for a brownish neutral... Joy...help!

I think it should have a warmer tone (not white) on the bottom to help it appear "grounded".

I like the green with the brick. The green (like my Camry) has an awful lot of gray in it, so I think I'd avoid the beige/tan and maybe go with a medium gray if you want something other than the same green. You already have bright red on the deck, green/gray walls, gray roof (?) and white trim. You don't want any additional colors.

Hint: run out a picture of the house and use colored markers to try out a foundation color. Easier and cheaper than paint and should give you a good idea of what it's look like. If necessary, cut the shape of the foundation out of white paper and color that.

Good idea, mom. I agree that the color looks a lot better with the brick than the white bottom. And I can't really tell what color green the house is from the pictures (they are all a little different).
