So true

I've looked at this a dozen times ... I'm guessing that Joy posted it but it didn't show on my viewing, or with an offer to post a comment.

Who has a word of the day?

Ugh...rough night

We had to take baby Emily to Children's Hospital last night :( She had a high fever and some trouble breathing. Dx = Bronchiolitis/RSV and an ear infection in her right ear. She's pretty miserable, but doing somewhat better. No more blue lips, thank you Jesus. That scared the CRAP out of me.

On a lighter note, yesterday evening (before Emmy's breathing starting acting up), we were sitting downstairs watching School House Rock on DVD. The episode on "Interjections" came on...you know..."Interjections! Show excitement! Or emotion!..." blah blah blah. In the bridge section ("so when you're happy - hooray!...or sad (awww)....or frightened (eek!)....or mad...") Ethan looked at Eric and said, Daddy, I know an interjection! Damn!!!!

It's like a cartoon...

A few nights ago we had a catfight outside our front door. Annabelle and I went to check it out, only to see the two cats walking down the driveway and crossing the street. The cats looked something like this:

Well, I don't know what they have been fighting about... but it seems they have made up. We saw them again on our backyard fence today.

If you think that is funny, you should have seen how they got up there:

Perhaps, if we're lucky, we'll see a little of this tonight:

Or, if we're unlucky, we might see (or hear) this:

Hellooooooo ..... is anyone out there?

Just checking to see if anyone looks at this anymore. (I have nothing interesting going on in my life that's worth posting, so I wait to see what's going on in yours.) Have a happy weekend.

Oops!!

Oh, Lord ...

We had a typo in this weeks Save-a-Lot grocery ad: Porn 'n' Beans 55 cents a can.

We had this same mistake once before but we found it before it went to press ... although the store manager already had the ad hanging on his door. No one had caught that one ...
They are faxed a proof of their ad so they have to share the responsibility.
This uh-oh is right up there with some others that got through on OTHER papers, including: Fart McPherson army base in Georgia; Buttons Bitches and Bows children's store; and Full-time Day Shit for a hospital job opening.

Baby news...Ethan news...

We may get Miss Emily *slightly* sooner than planned...almost got to have her today, in fact. At least, the nurses thought they'd be sending me over...

Her amniotic fluid (or is that MY amniotic fluid??) is getting low, and just to make sure things were A-OK, they hooked me up to the fetal monitor. She was totally unresponsive for the first 40 minutes or so of the NST monitoring, so they buzzed her and pissed her off and finally got the reaction they were looking for.

So I got off the hook for today, but the doc said if the amniotic fluid volume drops much more, we would "have to reevaluate the possibility of an earlier delivery...." Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Ethan is still as sick as a dog, poor kiddo :( He sat like a slug on the couch ALL DAY today and watched who knows how many episodes of SpiderMan, BatMan, Scooby Doo, Spongebob, etc.... He really is feeling rotten. And they didn't give him an antiviral, since his flu test was inconclusive. We've been alternating tylenol and motrin every four hours for 2 full days now, and his fever has only dropped below 101 one time. Eric said that it registered as normal (98.8) at the doctor's office Sunday morning, but when he got home I dug out a huge chunk of soft earwax, so I bet that his temp. reading was probably affected by that blocking the signal for the little ear thermometer thing. He had a fever of over 102 only an hour after returning from the doctor, so I think it'd be a bit weird if it ONLY dropped to normal during that small timeframe while he was at the doctor's office.

Will keep you all posted on both fronts! Love to all :)
